To all the people who have sent me inquiries as to whether or not they are allowed to read and record my books and post them online for their homebound students, I’m still waiting to hear back from my publishers for permission. The publishers have been receiving multiple requests for the same thing, so they are currently establishing a set of guidelines to address the situation. This is unprecedented for all of us and everyone’s trying to figure out what to do and the best way to do it. I’m sorry that I can’t just say to you, “sure, go ahead” but we all have to be respectful of the rights of the publishers and their need to protect their books. If things aren’t handled correctly, this could all end up in a big mess. So please be patient and keep checking the websites of the publishers directly for further information. If I hear anything, I’ll post it here.
